Mr. Smyth oversees portfolio operations for the company and, as a member of the investment committee, coordinates the identification of new property acquisitions.
Mr. Smyth was the founder and principal of Smyth Asset Management Co., a commercial property management, brokerage, and consulting firm which became the foundation of the property management subsidiary of CIP Real Estate.
Previously, Mr. Smyth was with Smyth Bros, Inc. a real estate developer notable for developing significant portions of Newport Center, Newport Beach, California and Lantern Bay a $100 million residential community in Dana Point, California.
Mr. Smyth holds a Bachelors in Science degree from the University of Southern California and a California real estate broker’s license.
